A well respected physician and author, Deepak Chopra, has come out to speak on his longtime friend and patient, Michael Jackson.

Dr. Chopra reports that the deceased musician has been suffering from Lupus, as a result of a traumatizing childhood.

“He had been diagnosed with lupus and he had vitiligo,” Chopra says. “There’s some recent research that suggests that if children have experienced either physical or verbal, mental, emotional or sexual abuse, then 20, 30 years later they can develop these autoimmune diseases including lupus.”

“Michael, he was never sexually abused but according to him, he was traumatized verbally and physically in his childhood, and it was a big issue with him.”

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes damage to any part of the body, whether it’s skin, joints or organs and destroys healthy body tissue. In the case of Michael Jackson, lupus affected his skin discoloration, also known as vitiligo.

“He had a lot of blotches on his skin, huge white patches all over his body. So he would cover up his body and that of course gave food for fodder to the press,” Chopra says.

Deepak Chopra’s son, Gotham, also close to Michael Jackson adds:

“It was very disturbing to him that people thought he always wanted to be white and he was bleaching his skin. [But] he identified as being a black person and so it was troubling to him that everyone thought that he was a hater of his own race,” Gotham explains. “And the lupus, why he didn’t just come out more clearly and say that was the problem, I’m not sure. But I know it was something that bothered him a lot.”

Basically biting off the hand that fed him, and attracting attention back to the only thing that he has ever done. How unfortunate for him, yet I feel no sympathy towards a man that abuses his wife. He's obviously strong enough to rough up a woman, but not strong enough to get on with his life after a sinlge that has sold the most rap records in history.

I'm 23 years old and despite the successes I've had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I guess it was only a matter of time, that glory went to his head and all athletic gifts aside it proves he's just some kid.

Now, Blade's director, Stephen Norrington, wants a piece of that golden ticket, to remake the original, not add to the series of unsuccessful sequels. Just as Stephen's original Blade was fantastic, the ones that followed lacked it's luster. The question in this whole endeavor is what actor, if any, would possibly come close to filling Brandon Lee's shoes?

The original '94 version was dramatically gothic and stylized, Norrington says, "The new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style."

Aniston: Yeah. But it's not a happy ending to the story of that relationship. Let's put it this way: He got to keep the dog.

She goes on answering a light question with angered and frustrated compulsion, while Owen just sits back diplomatically...

Q: How challenging is it promoting this big fun family movie when the public seems to be so curious about your own lives?

Aniston: I think it's ridiculous. There's just this insatiable need. I also haven't had a movie in a long time, so hopefully this is going to create something else to talk about and realize that I have a job, and I'm an actress.

Wilson: This is the nice part. You get to talk about the work.

Aniston: I am honestly getting sick of it, and I feel like telling people, "You know what? It's none of your (expletive) business." Seriously, it's enough. It's like we're appealing to the lowest …

The interview is good in itself, but doesn't do justice to the book or it's author. I read John Grogan's Marley & Me and was absolutely besotted with it, perhaps because it's in tuned with my relationship with my puppy, Bullie. But truly, the editor could have delved deeper into some of the touching points in the book.

"There is a huge boom in autism right now because inattentive mothers and competitive dads want an explanation for why their dumb-ass kids can't compete academically, so they throw money into the happy laps of shrinks . . . to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons. I don't give a [bleep] what these crackerjack whack jobs tell you - yer kid is NOT autistic. He's just stupid. Or lazy. Or both."

The Autism Society of America responded:

"For Mr. Leary to suggest that families or doctors conspire to falsely diagnose autism is ridiculous . . . [His] remarks reflect the same misconceptions of autism being caused by bad or unemotional parenting that were held over 50 years ago."

Stuntman Stabbed on Dexter Set

While filming Dexter, which is currently playing on Showtime, things got a bit more real than was expected. Dexter's new star, Jimmy Smits, while in character was supposed to stab a stuntman (Jeff Chase) in place of Dexter, with a plastic knife for killing his younger brother. Purely accidentally and in the heat of the moment, Smits grabbed a knife that was next to the plastic one, and plunged it into stuntman's chest. The problem was it just happened to be the real thing. Chase describes living through the moment:

"For the scene, I was bound in Saran Wrap, duct tape over my mouth. I couldn't say a thing as I saw Jimmy grab at the knife. He picked up the real one by pure mistake. It was a mean looking knife.

"I heard fellow actor Michael C. Hall yelling at Jimmy to stop - but it was too late. I felt the thud in my chest. I didn't have on a metal breast plate like a lot of actors do in a scene like that.

"Instead I had a piece of acrylic clear plastic about the size of a Post-it note over my heart. It was a quarter of an inch thick and not attacked. In eight out of 10 takes with the prop knife, Jimmy had missed the plastic. But by a miracle, an act of God, the knife landed at the very edge of the plastic.

"I really thought I'd been stabbed in the heart, but I didn't have a scratch. Jimmy was devastated and couldn't stop apologising. I told him, I felt more sorry for him than me."

Flashbacks of The Crow's Jason Lee's death come to mind. Why was there a real knife on the set to begin with!?!?!?!

Scarlett Johanssen, 23 and Ryan Reynolds, 31 who were together since Spring 2007, got married this past Saturday at a private ceremony at a wilderness resort in Vancouver, Canada, home to Ryan. They announced their engagement this past May and it is the first marriage for both. Scarlett's extremely excited to now be able to cross the border easier.

Yes everyone, I can officially confirm that Tito and I are expecting twins! I had my second ultrasound today and was greeted by two big healthy babies with pounding hearts. I can’t even express the extreme serenity that came over me once I saw my children inside me. It has been my dream to have children for an exremely long time, and I truly feel like finally… the time is right and god has blessed me. I have never felt more like a woman, or more alive.

Tito is happier than I have ever seen him, it is so fulfilling to see him so proud. He looked me in the eye today after our doctors appointmet and said “I’m the luckiest man on earth… thank you for having my babies”. I cried.

i have been spending my days on bedrest, not because it is doctor ordered… but because, I am so incredibly fatigued and nauseous. Its hard to drag myself out of bed some mornings, which is hard for me… since I am always so active! I have officially gained 7 pounds so far, and am planning on a lot more. I crave fruit by the gallon… ornages and pineapple are at the top of my list. Cereal at 3 am suits me every night!

Lastly, I want to thank all of you for your unwavering support. It means so much to me, I don’t think you even know. There are a lot of nasty comments from insensitive people, but in my state of incredible happiness… It doesnt matter what they say!

"Changeling" is a Clint Eastwood-directed film, based on a 1920s thriller about Christine Collins, played by Angelina Jolie, whose 9-year-old son is kidnapped.

Synopsis: When police return the boy to her, Christine claims he is not her son. She is then deemed an unfit mother when she confronts city authorities and corruption in the Los Angeles Police Department in order to find out the truth.

Jolie may earn yet another Oscar nomination, as the movie debuted to critical acclaim at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Jolie based the character after her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer in 2007.

“My mother was very passive in many ways and very, very sweet, but when it came to her children, she was a lion,” Jolie has said. “So in many ways, Christine reminded me of my mom, and it was a way to kind of revisit my mother after her passing and spend time with her.”

I can't tell you how much I want to see Marc Anthony live in concert! He's not only amazing and passionate, but he's one of those singers, who becomes exceedingly more and more attractive as he sings. I like him so much, that I actually liked the movie El Cantante with his wife, Jennifer Lopez and it wasn't even that great. As my friend Maria said, the title should have been La Esposa del Cantante (The Wife of the Singer).

Early September in NYC is probably the most exciting time for me. Not only is the weather perfect as can be, but Fashion Week is in town!!! It brings me back to when I worked at Bumble and bumble a few years back and helped coordinate shows during this busy season, running around, meeting people and best of all...watching the catwalk and the front seat elites!

New York City curbs have been adorned with new bicycle racks, designed by musician and biking enthusiast, David Byrne. The city's Department of Transportation and one of the most celebrated art galleries, PaceWildenstein, have partnered up in an effort to promote bicycling and lower the city's carbon footprint. NYC has been making an effort to go green, and one way is via Summer Streets program, where they "close off a 6.9-mile north-south route for six hours on three consecutive Saturdays. Otherwise, it's pretty dangerous on the bike around the city among high foot and car traffic. For 11 months, these bike racks will stay with us in the city, in an attempt to encourage exercise, promote biking and conserve energy. After the year, David Byrne hopes they can be sold as works of art.

“By bringing attractive yet functional sculptures to our streets, we are elevating the profile of cycling, and we believe that more and more people will begin to think about cycling as a mode of transportation, and not just a mode of recreation,” Ms. Sadik-Khan said in a statement. “Regular bike riders have an eagle eye for our current bike racks but these nine installations will capture the attention of all New Yorkers.”

“It was important to me that these new racks be the same thickness and material as the existing racks—to help identify them as practical bike racks and not just modern art,” Mr. Byrne said. “The locations about as perfect as one could imagine — Wall Street for the dollar sign and Bergdorf’s for the giant high heel!”

I just love Dane Cook, how can you not!!!! So I just love hearing his rants, because it's just like free comedy sketches!!! He wants everyone to know that he absolutely hates the promotional poster for his upcoming movie, "My Best Friends Girl". As it's a very bland and boring poster, I have to say him letting the world know it is actually quite brilliant. This way everyone will know he's got a movie out and what it's about, which the poster clearly lacks.

"Dear Diary

Before the downpour let me just say that my new movie, "My Best Friends Girl," is the best / funniest film I've done yet. It's got a terrific cast. Kate Hudson, Alec Baldwin, Jason Biggs, and myself really kicked the funny around. This movie showcases our talents accordingly as it expands on them. It's a fun R-rated flick. An edgy comedy with a dash of romance.

That being said, let me address the fact that although I'm not a marketing major, I have a bit of a trusted reputation after 18 years self promoting. I'd like to inform you I had no say in this marketing campaign, but if I did, things would be different since it is obvious that this poster is boring / odd and has zero to do with the movie I performed in.

Here are a few things that truly blow about my upcoming movie poster to promote the release of the film opening on September 19th:

1. Graphics:
Whoever photoshopped our poster must have done so at taser point with 3 minutes to fulfill their hostage takers deranged obligations. They should have called Donnie Hoyle and had him give a tutorial using "You Suck at Photoshop" templates. This is so glossy it makes Entertainment Weekly look wooden.

2. My head:
The left side of my face seems to be melting off of my skull. I guess I am looking directly into the Ark of the Covenant? Are they going for the bells palsy thing here? My left side looks like Brittany Spears' vagina.

3. The Stare.
My character apparently has fallen in love with a strand of Kate Hudsons hair. Kate's mannequin is desperately in love with the inside of my right ear while Jason is half stunned, half corsage.

4. Lips:
It looks like I'm wearing Maybelline Water Shine Diamonds Liquid Lipstick. My characters name is now Winter Solstice and I'm a hooker with a heart of gold. Jason is my floral carrying pimp, while Kate is my first trick!

5. Fashion:
My character is sporting a very high collar I mean damn they should be snow capped at that altitude. It's going for the vampire lurking in the castle basement vibe. An Olympic pole vaulter would have a tough go clearing that collar. I'm also able to turn my head comfortably 180 degrees, because I was raised in an abandoned barn by a family of owls.

6. Flesh:
It's no secret that I'm more rugged facially due to a drunken visit by the teen acne fairy, but according to this poster I've got perfect porcelain flesh. I look like the fuckin' bathroom floor at Caesars Palace. One of Marie Osmond's dolls would look at me and say "shit … that guys got flawless skin!"

7. Hair:
It's actually a close up shot of Tom Sellecks Magnum P.I. mustache they photo-slapped on my noggin'.

8. The set:
Pick one. This entire film takes place:

A. on Gattaca
B. at the Fortress of Solitude
C. inside a crystal wind chime

9. The cast:
Alec Baldwin is so fucking funny in this movie! Is he on the poster? I think so. He plays the wise talking plant Jason is clutching.

10. Final thoughts:
I set out to make a movie like the contemporary men and women, that you and I respect, are making. My generation of comedians, actors, directors and producers that I wish to collaborate with as I build a solid body of work.

Granted, one poster stinking up the joint isn't the end of the world. Yet it sends the wrong message about our movie and I just wanted you to know, that I feel the pain. I really love the film and I know from past missteps marketing wise that the wrong poster sends the wrong audience into the theater.

Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said Tuesday that he had ordered a halt to fighting in Georgia, although Russian soldiers were still under orders to “eliminate” any Georgian troops remaining in the separatist enclave of South Ossetia. (The New York Times)

The West must demand that Russia pull all of its troops out of Georgia. If the Kremlin resists, we should hit it with sanctions, such as kicking it out of the Group of Eight leading industrialized nations. And “sending U.S. troops is out of the question,” but we can help Georgia defend itself by sending American military equipment.

If the West really wants to help, it should stop egging on Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili by giving him unconditional support. Here are some excerpts from the interview with Hello! magazine.

On breast feeding the twins:
A: They are on the same schedule. They eat every three hours and I’m getting better at holding them both for breast-feeding at the same time, so that helps. Usually the other kids come in and hold them when they finish. They help with the baths and the changing.
B: We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of management, but it gets a little crowded at the bar!

On finding out you were having twins:
A: We were in shock and could not stop laughing.
B: We bust into hysterics. My sister had made a joke about twins literally the night before, because my grandparents and sis both had twins. Angie was on the table during the sonogram, and we were in hysterics.
We didn’t see this one coming.

On choosing the names Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline:
B: The name Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself. She has always been Viv. And Marcheline is to honour Angie’s late mother. Knox is a family name - my grandfather’s - and Leon is a classic French name.

On their personalities:
B: I dare to say that Viv is proving to resemble Angie in spirit, attitude and physicality. She is quite elegant like her mother. And Knox, he’s a bit of me. He likes music like his dad. When he was born he looked like Putin!

On Maddox as a big brother:
B: This is Mad’s fourth and fifth time at becoming an older bro. He’s asking us when we can have more!

On Shiloh as a big sister:
A: Shiloh calls them her babies. She and Zahara pick out their clothes, help change and hold them. It’s sweet, they are like little mommies.

On bedrest for Angelina:
A: Brad and the kids came a few nights each week and spent the night. So we never went too long without seeing eachother. I also watched The War by Kevin Burns. I figured it would be the only chance I had to watch a 15-hour documentary!

On food cravings:
A: My only craving was cheese and milk. Still is.

On her post c-section recovery:
A: The first few days were a little difficult but we had a great team of doctors and they helped me feel better quickly.
B: She’s over-achieving.

On using fertility drugs or IVF to become pregnant:

A: “We were in shock [when we heard about the rumors] and could not stop laughing ‘If they had been conceived through IVF we would have been happy to discuss it.’ “But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems.”

"It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time," Jolie tells PEOPLE of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple's four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château's sprawling grounds.

Adds Pitt: "[It's] still a cuckoo's nest."

Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. "[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins'] clothes and help change and hold them," says Jolie. "It's sweet – they are little mommies."

As shocking as it may sound, the Batman lead, Christian Bale, was accused of assault by his own flesh and blood. He attacked his mother, 61 and sister, 40 on sunday night, followed by being reported to the London police. However, because of the London premier of The Dark Knight, the London police decided not to pursue with arrest. I guess his conscience got the better of him and he voluntarily gave himself up after walking down the red carpet.

The London police are discreetly addressing the press by stating that "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody."

UPDATE:

“Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister,” the actor’s reps said in the statement. “Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale.”

and TMZ is reporting rumors that the accusations were for *verbal* assault.

Whether they did it or not, these guys are pushing A-Rod's buttons, stirring his emotions which he takes out on the ball and hits a home run! You see, all these rumors are only making his game better, which means he'll earn even more money, making him the most wanted man in baseball, which will make Madonna want him even more. So I don't really see the end of this working out very well for Guy Richie, who I think is the brilliant one in all of this. What he should do is use this mess in one of his upcoming Snatch-ish films and have the Russians finish A-Rod off. Classic Hollywood ending!

And I can openly talk about what ballroom dancing does to boys because I used to dance with them. Let's just say the concept of tightness transcends to the body and the clothes that adorn it. However, recent champion of Dancing with the Stars, Joey Lawrence, took it to the next level. From the image bellow, it appears he borrowed his wife's skinny jeans and that's her in the photo almost cracking up at how slightly ridiculous that looks. I'm all for buff men wearing things that will show off their muscles, in fact I encourage my bf to do it, he's got the shoulders for it. But skinny jeans, being all the rage in the Emo world, are just not there yet for masculine strong types in my opinion. Anyone agree?

I had the pleasure of meeting him at the premier of DWTS that season, and he was just one of the sweetest and most sincere guys. But these photos make me wonder just how sweet he is...

Former World Chess Champion and Kremlin critic, Garry Kasparov, has been attacked by radio-controlled penis during a meeting of opposition activists. The 20 second stunt was set off while 700 opponents of the Kremlin were attending Kasparov’s address in Moscow last weekend.

Pro-Kremlin demonstrators decided to interrupt Kasparov’s address, designed to unite opposition political forces, by launching a rotor-assisted plastic phallus towards Mr Kasparov.

Kasparov laughed off the incident remarking that it was "below the belt" .

"I think we have to be thankful for the opposition's demonstration of the level of discourse we need to anticipate," he said.
An onlooker said the incident was a "genital reminder about who is in charge".
Kasparov became the youngest ever World Chess Champion in 1985 but is widely known for being the first world chess champion to lose a match to a computer, when he lost to Deep Blue in 1997.

He announced his retirement from professional chess in 2005 to devote time to politics. He later formed the United Civil Front movement, and became a member of The Other Russia, a coalition opposing the administration of Vladimir Putin.
