NEWS.i.e. Chess World Champion Interrupted by a Flying Penis!

Former World Chess Champion and Kremlin critic, Garry Kasparov, has been attacked by radio-controlled penis during a meeting of opposition activists. The 20 second stunt was set off while 700 opponents of the Kremlin were attending Kasparov’s address in Moscow last weekend.

Pro-Kremlin demonstrators decided to interrupt Kasparov’s address, designed to unite opposition political forces, by launching a rotor-assisted plastic phallus towards Mr Kasparov.

Kasparov laughed off the incident remarking that it was "below the belt" .

"I think we have to be thankful for the opposition's demonstration of the level of discourse we need to anticipate," he said.

An onlooker said the incident was a "genital reminder about who is in charge".

Kasparov became the youngest ever World Chess Champion in 1985 but is widely known for being the first world chess champion to lose a match to a computer, when he lost to Deep Blue in 1997.

He announced his retirement from professional chess in 2005 to devote time to politics. He later formed the United Civil Front movement, and became a member of The Other Russia, a coalition opposing the administration of Vladimir Putin.

Terminator is Back!!! With Bale as John Connor!!!

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is the new trilogy scheduled for production with a storyline emphasis on John Connor, played by Christian Bale and directed by James Cameron.

“He’s really an actor’s actor, so we’re very proud,” said Victor Kubicek of film company Halcyon. Charlie’s Angels director McG is directing the new film, which is due to be released on 22 May 2009.

“Christian was our first choice and he’s a big fan of The Terminator, so we’re very lucky,” Kubicek told the BBC at the Cannes Film Festival.

“But with Batman he’s already done the whole franchise thing, so we weren’t sure he’d respond.”

Luckily, said Kubicek’s business partner Derek Anderson, “he read the script and he loved it, so he’s signed on for all three.”

“We can’t talk about the story points at all,” said Kubicek, adding the project was being kept strictly under wraps. “Not everyone gets to see the script. They only see the part of the script that’s relevant to the job they’re doing.”

NEWS.i.e. Nip/Tuck will Return! with Madonna?

Rosie O’Donnell is hoping to persuade her friend, Madonna, to direct an episode of hit plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck.

This tells me two things, one is that Nip/Tuck will be back for another season, after it left us with a cliffhanger of Colleen, aka "crazy lady" stabbing one of the main character's to death.

The other, is that why do we keep listening to Rosie? I'm not sure having Madonna direct a very intricate show like Nip/Tuck, is a very good idea. There's a well developed storyline, that I'm quite certain, she's not fully engulfed in. It'll be too random or too Madonna like, and I'm not sure why I'm hating... But any true fan will not want her to meddle in the already gone to shit storyline, ever since they moved to Hollywood! Unless she can fix it.

Kelly Carlson, who plays Kimber, says:

“Madonna’s been approached because Rosie is on our show and they’re very good friends. I’ve begged the producers to get her on the show. She has such a great mind for stuff like this that I think she’d be a great director for an episode. I would also love to have Madonna on as a character.”
